Presentation

The University Extension provides the bridge between the University and the community in which it is inserted. A center for lifelong learning, FAE Extension is the place for the exchange of different sources of knowledge, providing opportunities for scientific and cultural development, through events and activities specially designed to meet the needs of the local and regional population.

This exchange of knowledge also enables the institution to learn the community values and cultures. Consequently, FAE can plan and develop extension activities, respecting local values and fostering community-based cooperation and education.

Objectives

Offer opportunities for the integration of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the local communities, in educational and social projects; encourage the development of activities which aim to preserve the environment and the quality of community life; through the development and implementation of workshops and short courses, promote opportunities for knowledge sharing.
